Our exciting and educational exhibits are filled with an amazing assortment of arthropods, including tarantulas, scorpions, and praying mantids! Not to mention a 7,000 square foot butterfly pavilion filled with tropical plants and a ferrofluid fountain, practically guaranteed to pique the interest of even the most science-averse students.
What to expect:
Each tour incorporates current science curriculum and age-appropriate science standards. Our knowledgeable tour guides lead your students into the wild world of arthropods, engaging them in hands-on activities and captivating them with the amazing array of insects in our museum.
The educational experience will be a minimum of two hours and includes the following.
-60 minutes in the museum
-30 minutes in the butterfly pavilion
-30 minutes in the classroom
Tours can be booked Monday – Sunday at:
- 10 AM
- 12 PM
- 2 PM
Tours require a minimum of 15 students and must be booked in advance. 1 free chaperone is included with every 15 students.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:
Cancellations: Tour deposits are partially refundable. The amount of the refund is dependent on the time at which the cancellation is requested. If a tour is cancelled 30 or more days prior to the scheduled tour time, then a 100% refund will be issued. If the tour is cancelled 7 to 29 days prior to the scheduled tour time, then a 50% refund will be issued. If the tour is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the scheduled tour time, then no refund will be issued. Refunds will be issued within 10 business days of the request.
Rescheduling: Tours may be rescheduled. If the reschedule is requested 30 or more days prior to the scheduled tour time, then no rescheduling fee will be assessed. If the reschedule is requested 7 to 29 days prior to the scheduled tour time, then a $30 rescheduling fee will be assessed. If the reschedule is requested less than 7 days prior to the scheduled tour time, then a $50 reschedule fee will be assessed. If tours are rescheduled and then subsequently cancelled, the deposit refund will be calculated based on the originally scheduled tour date.
