  • Description

Join us for a transformational evening featuring the city’s most creative Drag performers, live musical performances, dancing with DJ’s on two stages, and surreal interactive performance art all at the uniquely unreal Metamorphic Menagerie at the Philadelphia insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion on April 9th from 7pm-12am!

*** Hosted by Philly’s own Ebony Icon, performer extraordinaire and community organizer in West Philly.

*** Dazzle in the deliciously curated drag show by Henlo Bullfrog. Henlo Bullfrog is the FX stunt king and real-life art superhero whose award-winning body artistry blends stagecraft, costuming, and special effects to create such signature moves as quickchange makeup transformations; resurrecting life-size skeleton puppets; and tearing his own face off.

*** Headlined by PNK VLVT WTCH from Coney Island. PNK VLVT WTCH are a multi-instrumentalist and performance art entity. She transcends binaries, at times embodying both masculine and feminine spirits. Her work is grounded in Surrealism and Witchcraft, both emotional and archetypal. Either solo or with her ensemble, featuring Viper Cazimi, Obsidian Absurd and Miss Vivian, live or recorded original music is always the spine and soul of her performances. In 2020 she began to bring her bizarre, abstract, sensual, and terrifying images and visions into reality in video format. You can see them at Pink Velvet Witch YouTube also follow her on Instagram @pinkvelvetwitch

*** Be treated to a complimentary transformation in the ‘Drag Den’ by makeup artist Kris Zwiack.

*** Get metamorphosed with “Reborn In the 80’s” our Mad Lab, an interactive experience led by Tasker Morris.

*** Enjoy an otherworldly experience with Ellen Bischoff, who will be fluttering about the party telling you tales about yourself that may be yet unknown.

*** The evening will be filled with the hypnotizing tunes of Left Right Collective, who will be spinning live from the Butterfly Pavilion and 2nd Floor of the museum.
